Fluffy cats and hot summer days do not mix

Hi everyone

Well we make it through Christmas and the New Year, and so begins 2009... and with it the hot summer days are back again.

Yesterday here in Perth it hit 36 degrees celcius... it is so hot it is crazy.... I am way to fluffy for this hot weather.

All I can do is lay under the ceiling fan in our lounge room, flat on my back with legs spread wide. I am so glad we have wooden floor boards at least they are reasonably cool.

I'd love to go and play outside in the evening but Moomy and I aren't allowed out after dark, which is a pity as it's the only time I have any spring in my legs this time of year. The other night we got escaped outside though when Dad went out for something, but he caught me so easily, I can't resist the ringing of a bell on a collar and just have to play with it. Moomy is onto them though and she was gone into the darkness... lucky girl, and she didn't come home until 12:30am when Dad let her back in.

Oh well maybe next time I will resist the calling of the bell.

Well that's all I have to report, hope where you are isn't so hot and I'm goign to post a pic of me on the lounge last night trying to stay cool. Love Stinky. xxx

Hi from Stinky

Hi, I'm Stinky, well that's my nickname, my real name is Oscar. One day I might tell you how I came to have that nickname but not today.

I live in Perth (Western Australia) with my owners and my sister Moomy, but enough about her already.

I'm a 2 year old male cat, my owners bought me from a local pet shop, I was soooo cute, very fluffy with gorgeous blue eyes. I think I am still very cute, well maybe I've outgrown the cute and I'm just a gorgeous boy now.

Apart from surfing the net I like to sleep and chase moths and bring them in for Mum to step on. My favourite sleeping spot is on the front verandah in the sun or if my Mum is around in her arms. My Mum loves me so much and she tells me all the time I'm her special boy, Moomy stirs me and calls me a mummy's boy but I don't care coz I love cuddles, just because she has emotional issues and can't let anyone hold her longer than 10 seconds... like get a grip girl how could you not like a cuddle.

Quick quick I gotta go for now, Dad's coming to use the computer and I don't want him to catch me otherwise he'll want me to vaccuum up all the fluff I've left on the keyboard. Hope to see you soon, Stinky xxx
